Ufomammut – “Warsheep”
Ahead of its inclusion on their new album, 8 (due for release 22nd September), Ufomammut have unveiled their new single “Warsheep” and will also be a limited 7″ on 15th June. Described as a “turning point”, 8 clarified to Ufomammut who they are as a unit now and their new sonic path. Although the musicians within Ufomammut’s collective remain unturned, a change in recording approach saw the trio playing and recording live together in the same room, even utilising their live sound engineer Ciccio and his project Femore for production purposes, with Fabrizio San Pietro on mixing duties.
Of Mice and Men – “Back to Me”
Ahead of their forthcoming European tour which takes in festivals such as Nova Rock in Austria and their UK comeback at this year’s Download, Of Mice and Men have surprise-released their new single “Back to Me” comprised of live footage. Vocalist/bassist Aaron Pauley comments on the songs subject, stating: “Let hope be everything you need…”
We Are Many We Are Legion – “Lost Inside”
Imagine Sikth, Korn and Issues crashing a New Orleans second line parade and staying for the party. That’s what We Are Many We Are Legion sounds like. With a six-piece horn section, the band hopes to create a new sub-genre of metal with their debut video.
Amplifier – “Kosmos”
Space rockers Amplifier are back with their new album Trippin’ With Dr Faustus. First track ‘Kosmos’ instantly delivers Amplifier’s calling cards of massive riffs with lyrical sentiments that reach far beyond space, time and the limitations of ones, zeros and polycarbonate manufacturing. Exploring the Faustian coincidences of power, success, fame and money, it blurs fact with fiction, reality with fantasy.
Love Talk – “Her Name is Jenny”
Danish alt-rock four-piece Love Talk release their powerful, grunge-tinged new single “Her Name Is Jenny” out now and available to buy and stream on iTunes and Spotify. Inspired by a girl they met at Roskilde Festival in 2014, focusses on the blurred lines between obsession and admiration for someone. The track is driven by heavy licks and pulsating beats sounding akin to Silverchair and L7’s 90s-infused rock, revamped with the Love Talk touch.
Orden Ogan – “Gunman”
Power metallers Orden Ogen have unveiled the first song from their new album Gunmen. Shot in Monument Valley, Utah, the Western video provides the perfect backdrop for their new song.
The Dust Coda – Down in the Valley
London’s hard rock n’ soul quartet, The Dust Coda, release a new single entitled, “Down In The Valley”, on Friday 26th May 2017. Formed in 2015 around the nucleus of Australian, John Drake and British guitarist Adam Mackie, The Dust Coda deliver a rootsy, soulful, yet edge-driven hard rock n roll sound for fans of Soundgarden, The Temperance Movement, Rival Sons & Monster Truck.
Monster League – “I Saw the Devil”
South Korean heavy metal band Monster League have dropped their new video “I Saw the Devil” and film on home turf in Seoul.
As Lions – “Skin”
UK alt-rock five piece As Lions have unveiled a special acoustic performance of the current hit single “Skin” by Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, filmed at London’s YouTube Creative Studio in Kings Cross. Showcasing the band’s softer side, the stripped back version exposes their incredible ability to adapt, and tone things down.
Donnie Willow – “Toys”
Glaswegian alt-rockers Donnie Willow have today revealed the video for “Toys”, the new single taken from their forthcoming EP Exhibition set for release on 9th June 2017. Commenting on the track, frontman Arthur Piddington said:
Toys is a song about money: the endless cycle of working a job you don’t want to work so that you can afford to take another step closer to what it is you actually want to do, and then feeling like you’re back at square one.
Wednesday 13 – “Cruel to You”
The Duke of Spook, Wednesday 13 has premiered a new video clip for “Cruel To You”, another new track taken from his forthcoming album, Condolences which is set for release on 2nd June. Wednesday comments:
I’m really excited for everyone to see our new video for “Cruel To You”. Making this one turned out to be so much fun and director Tommy Jones made my comic book dream come to life. Running around sunny Los Angeles chasing a girl and her dog with an axe was certainly a first for me, haha! This song and video is definitely a throw back to the more fun, campy side of Wednesday 13.
Wednesday 13 is also confirmed to headline the Dogtooth Stage at Download Festival on Saturday 10th June with his full electric set, as well as two additional shows in Dublin (Thu 8th Jun at Voodoo Lounge) and Belfast (Fri 9th June at Limelight 2).
