Thursday Video Roundup: Matter of Mind, Lacuna Coil, Fall of Carthage, Gun Shy, Nighon, Phlefonyaar

I sense a bonus post coming up at the weekend if this deluge doesn’t let up. I guess it’s video season…

Matter Of Mind – “Far Too Wrong”

Sounding like the distant relatives of Biffy Clyro and Royal Blood, Matter Of Mind have engineered a sound that merges hooky choruses with expansive and inventive guitar work, and a beefy rhythm section that will blow the roof right off. The Northerners have released the single “Far Too Wrong” out now.

Lacuna Coil – “Blood, Tears, Dust”

After returning from a triumphant run throughout South America and right before embarking on some shows with their labelmates Arch Enemy and The Haunted, Lacuna Coil are releasing a video clip for one of their crowd favourites, “Blood, Tears, Dust”. The video was directed and edited by Cosimo Alemà and produced by the production company Borotalco.

Fall of Carthage – “Suffer the Pain”

German modern metallers Fall of Carthage have released a new video for the track “Suffer The Pain”. Taken off the band’s latest album The Longed-For Reckoning, “Suffer The Pain” is not your typical performance video, but a complex and cinematic staged clip, directed and produced by Michael Ciesla (SuidAkrA).

Gun Shy – “Whilst You Execute” and “In Perfect Silence”

Gun Shy’s new EP The Long Dance is due for release on Earth date May 12th, 2017 via Southampton’s very own Wrong Way Round Records on both cassette and digital formats. Here’s a double-video from it, featuring two songs.

Nighon – “The Dirge”

Nighon have released a second single “The Dirge” from their upcoming album The Somme which is released on May 5th 2017 by Inverse Records.

Phlefonyaar – “Temple Bells After Midnight”

British doom duo Phlefonyaar have unveiled the music video for their new single “Temple Bells Before Midnight”, taken from forthcoming new album Septic, Bitter and Hardbitten which is released on 14 April 2017 via Cavernous Records.
