Wednesday Video Roundup: The Darker my Horizon, ENDXS, Courtesans, Amorphis, Nidingr, The Priceduifkes

At this rate we’re going to have to go up to eight videos a day… We’ve enough in the inbox to take us through to next week at the going rate. It’s almost as if you lot like listening to new tunes and watching the videos that go with them! In the meantime, we’ll see you at Anthrax tonight…

The Darker my Horizon – “Paradise”

In-house favourites The Darker My Horizon drop a lyric video for the track “Paradise” this week. The brand new album No Superhero is also available now from all major online stores as well as physical format at the band’s website and brokenroadrecords.com.

ENDXS – “Almost Home”

I don’t know a lot about this band myself, but Katie – one of our London-based photographers – essentially told me to post ENDXS’ new video because “…they’re soooo good!” And who am I to argue with our in-house Photographer of the Month for January 2017?

Courtesans – “Mesmerise”

MarkW reviewed this single last month, and now you get a chance to hear it. “Mesmerise” features on the band’s forthcoming album Better Safe Then Sober which is out on March 4th.

Amorphis – “Her Alone” feat. Anneke van Giersbergen (live)

Finnish masters of melancholic progressive metal, Amorphis, recently played special shows in Helsinki, where they have performed a very special setlist with guest musicians and friends. These shows will be part of the new tour edition which is scheduled to be released on February 24th via Nuclear Blast. The package includes the entire album Under The Red Cloud with two bonus songs as well as the live tracks from Helsinki.

The band have unveiled the first video to one of these live tracks. It shows the song “Her Alone” featuring Anneke van Giersbergen, which is the last song on the bonus CD.

Nidingr – “On Dead Body Shore”

Nidingr is a band that let themselves grow naturally over time and when they release andalbum it’s in the belief that it’ll be a great contribution to the top tier of metal music.

They are releasing their fourth album in 2017, titled The High Heat Licks Against Heaven, an album drenched in Norse mythology, and names from the younger and older Edda appears throughout in the lyrics. The album drifts in the middle of black and death metal, but with the Norse theme it creates a unique and fresh breath of sound. To put it mildly, this is a brutal and honest metal record.

The Priceduifkes – “I Can Dance”

Belgium based punk band The Priceduifkes have been around for more than 10 years. In 2014 they released their Why Not? album and did a full tour with Masked Intruder and Direct Hit throughout the USA.

In 2 weeks loyal fans can rejoice over Goathorse, the band’s brand new record out on Feb 25 via Monster Zero Records (AT), Bearded Punk Records (BE) and Rad Girlfriend Records (US).
