Urgh, Monday. Unless you don’t work on Mondays in which case “Yay! A day with the kids out of the house so I can kick back naked on the sofa and play Xbox!”. I really should remember that my mum-in-law lives with us…

Coast To Coast – “Post Graduation”

Birmingham pop-punk band, Coast to Coast are delighted to announce their new EP The Length Of A Smile will be released on 24th March through Fox Records. Explaining the thoughts behind the song, vocalist Keiran Hyland said:

I recently graduated from university after the three best years of my life, I said goodbye to the mates I made and packed my bags up to come back home to live with my parents, and there was a sudden crushing realisation that things would likely never be the same. The lyrics are about how my time living away from home went so fast and how I took everything for granted, and now I was just back where I started three years ago. One of my favourite lyrics is “We watched a pile of letters build up on the living room floor” which refers to how you could feel a change in all the mates I had made over the three years, it was like everyone was on a bit of a downer and had realised that this experience was over.
