Thursday Video Roundup: Metal Church, Copia, Face Your Maker, Black Sites

Thursdays always seem to be busy in terms of the number of emails I have sat there with quality videos in. In other words, it’s difficult to pluck out just four to regale you with! Enjoy…

Metal Church – “Needle and Suture”

First spot had to go to legends Metal Church who returned in March with their latest album, XI

Copia – “Disconnected”

Ramping up the heavy are Melbourne’s Copia with a video so visceral and scathing in its commentary on the way humans treat life on Earth, it has to be witnessed. Bassist Bobby Oblak says of the song and the clip:

“Disconnected” is a reflection of our opinions of the current state of the world. It can be heavy to reflect on what we humans have created & how we are being controlled and manipulated by people in positions of power. The corrupt, creating fake idols, posing as ‘gods’, profiting at the expense of those in a weaker position. We all experience indoctrination to some extent, separated by politics, & classified by wealth, religion & culture, making the world an unpleasant place to live in at times. It’s easy to lose sight of what we need in this fabricated world. The track is intended to be a wake up call. James from Red Boss helped us put our thoughts into images & it includes many issues which need to be addressed.

Face Your Maker – “Dark Daze”

Still not heavy enough? Try this beast from Californian deathcore monsters Face Your Maker. They’ve unveiled a new video, “Dark Daze”, taken from their new album Ego:Death, released on the 18th of November via Siege Music.

Black Sites – “Dead Languages”

Lightening the tone a little before we finish, Chicago based metallers Black Sites will be releasing their debut album In Monochrome on 17th February 2017 on Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group (Black Label Society, Black Stone Cherry, Monster Truck, Big Jesus, Vola, Counting Days, Stoneghost). Here’s a sample of what to expect – “Dead Languages”.
