Galactic Empire – “Rehearsal One: A Galactic Empire Story”

Galactic Empire have recently announced their self-titled album, to be released on 3rd February via Rise Records. Alongside the record, the band have just premiered “Rehearsal One”. In a joint statement, the band says:

AT LONG LAST! Our preparations are com…plete. The mighty Galactic Empire will unleash our ultimate weapon in the battle to bring heavy metal to your galaxy. The puny humans at Velocity and Rise Records have succumbed to the crushing power of the Dark Side and will release our debut full-length album on which we pay tribute to Supreme Sith Overlord John Williams with 11 tracks of pure sonic devastation. Join us, and together, we can rule the galaxy!

The band will also be on rescheduled tour across the UK throughout February 2017.

Steel Panther – “Anything Goes”

Any pretence at subtlety has gone right out the window with this one… Steel Panther sink to deeper depths than ever before with this depraved three minute swear-fest from upcoming new album Lower The Bar (and they have) – out on a rescheduled date of March 24th 2017. It’s all Stix’s fault:

After months of touring the world, my taste for whiskey and chipotle finally got the better of me and my stomach, I’d like to apologize to my friends, family, and especially Satchel, whose bottom bunk on the tour bus was on the receiving end of my many blacked out bouts of explosive diarrhea. Now that I’ve had time to clear my mind, and my intestines, I can get back to doing lines with all of you on the upcoming 2017 Girls in a Row Tour.

Korean Fire Drill – “SpidaRackNeeAHH”

acramento, California based comedy / hard rock band Korean Fire Drill have released a hilariously creepy lyric video for their track “SpidaRackNeeAHH” from their new album More Badass Than Half Ass (review here). LydVish (vocals) explains the songs. Or details a worrying drug habit:

It was a cold winter night when KFD got together to write this song, and little did they know what this eve had to hold. No jam seemed to stick or pass the 3 take rule, and at this point the band didn’t know what to do. As lightning struck the tin roof some movement began at the ceiling line. It was spiders crawling out from a crack. Down they dropped onto Matt’s bass and started to show him a tasty lick. It was a riff unlike the band had ever heard and within moments their creative block began to pass. From this point on KFD created an alliance with the Spiders and dedicated a song to their existence in the hope that people would understand… Spiders have feelings too.
