Sunday Video Roundup: Vola, Rage, Alteras, Martyr

So a great night last night if you’re Italian /  German (delete as appropriate – I’m writing this before kickoff). Only four matches to go and we can start to concentrate on the new season! So while away the time with the following tunes. Or use them to take your mind off the interminable football coverage. Whichever suits.

Vola – “Starburn”

A musical journey into the mind in pursuit of happiness, set to a mix of 70’s progressive rock, modern day electronica, industrial and metal, topped off with clear, beautiful vocal lines: that’s what young Copenhagen quartet VOLA is offering on their debut album Inmazes, out on Mascot Records on 2LP, CD and Digitally, September 16. Sound interesting? Check out “Starburn” below.

Rage – “War”

After the release of their highly anticipated album The Devil Strikes Again, which immediately debuted at #37 in the German charts, heavy metal veterans RAGE are ready to strike again and present the brand new lyric video for “War”.

Alteras – “Could Ever Love”

Youngstown, OH quintet Alteras has recently inked a deal with Revival Recordings (owned by Shawn Milke of Alesana). The band will make their label debut with the new full-length Grief, out on August 5th. Today, you can watch the music video for the first single “Could Ever Love”.

Martyr – “Souls Breathe”

Dutch band Martyr released their fifth full length album, and first through Pure Steel, at the end of March. If you need any convincing as to whether to pick this album up, perhaps “Souls Breath” will make your mind up for you!
