Saturday Video Roundup: Palace of the King, Motionless in White, Trickster Guru, As A Rival

Welcome to the weekend! Time to crack open a cold one, pop a shrimp on the barbie and kick back to some rocking tunes in the sunshine! You can tell I’m writing this without looking at the weather report for Saturday, can’t you?

Palace of the King – Beyond the Valley

Australian rockers Palace of the King unveil their brand new video “Beyond the Valley” from new album Valles Marineris. The album’s available now.

Motionless in White – “570”

Roadrunner’s latest signing have released a video for their brand new track “570”. The band signed to Roadrunner last month, commenting:

We are very honoured to finally announce that we have signed with Roadrunner Records. Over the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of getting to know the hard working team that makes up Roadrunner, and felt a connection with their company immediately. It has been a dream of MIW for years to someday sign with their label, and we are elated to find that it is a perfect home for the band to continue building our career. We are very excited to start this new chapter and to keep working hard every day with Roadrunner by our side. Thank you to Roadrunner Records for opening your home to us, and thank you to all of the fans that have supported our band tirelessly over the years. Your support and contributions have helped lead to all of these amazing developments taking place for our band. We’re looking forward to many more years of this with all of you.

The band are currently on the Warped Tour, and plan to release a fourth album in 2017.

Trickster Guru – “Problem Child”

Trickster Guru is the alternative rock and electronic project of singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Christopher Caplan. Trickster Guru’s debut EP Problem Child, beautifully fuses vintage rock and soul with the excitement and innovation of modern electronic synth. Like a poignant conduit between the past and present, “Problem Child” draws influence from rock anthem greats such as The Doors and Jeff Buckley as well as modern electronic artists such as Flume and Skrillex. The added synths and beats from alternative electronic co-producer AWAY, allows Trickster Guru to ingeniously create a sound of passion, culture and indulgence.

As A Rival – “Obsolete”

As A Rival. A mixture of rock riffs and punk sensibilities. Catchy hooks and melodic anthems. Fast becoming one of the most hard-hitting, hard-working, explosive live bands on the Australian punk rock scene, the band continue to deliver upon their unrelenting live shows, clearing the bar they continue to raise with ease.
