Saturday Video Roundup: Glasstide, Brujeria, Arkells, Darkh

A little late in the day because I have an actual life as well as putting all this stuff online. Or at least I like to pretend I do…

Glasstide – “You’re Not Worth It”

Exeter rock four piece Glasstide have dropped a stomping new video for “You’re Not Worth It”, the track is taken from their forthcoming debut EP Lights, which will be released on the 23rd of September.

Drawing inspiration from an array of areas, but fundamentally reared on the grit of Black Stone Cherry, the energy of Airbourne and the melodies of Alter Bridge, Glasstide blast out heavy rhythms, contagious hooks and buoyant energy that will leave you hungry for more. Want to know more about “You’re Not Worth It”? Hear it straight from the band:

We’re extremely delighted to drop this new single for “You’re Not Worth It”. We think everybody can relate to this kind of song, essentially a big middle finger to anyone who’s ever let you down. We’re excited to deliver this tune as it’s a bit different from what you’ve heard from us before, and an indication of what you can expect from us in the future. Slightly more punk, with a bit of skate influence thrown in; this tune is for anyone craving anything along the lines of Blink 182, Offspring or Sum 41 with a modern edge!

Brujeria – “No Aceptan Imitaciones”

Extreme metallers Brujeria will release their fourth full length album, entitled Pocho Aztlan, on Mexican Independence Day (September 16) via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Pocho Aztlan is now available for pre-order on Limited Edition Neon Yellow Vinyl, Limited Edition Orange Vinyl and CD/T-Shirt bundle (images below) from the Nuclear Blast UK web shop.

Arkells – “Drake’s Dad”

Max Kerman, frontman of Arkells, apparently met Drake’s dad while the band were in Tennessee. Drake is apparently famous or something (I wouldn’t recognise him/her if I saw them) but their dad is actually in the video helping to re-enact the original encounter that led to the song. Which is pretty cool.

Arkells’ new album, Morning Report, is out on August 5th which is only next week. Doesn’t time fly?

Darkh – “Bury Our Bones”

Czech hard rock/metal band Darkh have released their official music video for the first single off of their upcoming debut album A Story Yet Untold, due out September 29th.

It was pretty obvious before “Bury Our Bones” was even finished that it would be the first single off the album. Individuals whose interests and lifestyles are different from the vast majority will understand, because “B.O.B” underlines how powerful and encouraging it is to be among people who get it.
