Wednesday Video Roundup (SystemHouse33, Haken, Universal Mind Project, Caricature)

I skipped a day yesterday. I feel very bad. Let me make it up to you with this solid selection of new tracks…

SystemHouse33 – “Lift This Plague”

I don’t often feature lyric videos in this feature, but for this band and track I’m making an exception. SystemHouse33 hail from Mumbai and have recently finished a European tour with Six Feet Dead before kicking off a series of US dates with Dying Fetus. “Lift This Plague”‘s video focusses on crimes against women in their native land, something which has been making headlines recently. It’s interesting to get the viewpoint of a native act.

Haken – “Earthrise”

James saw this lot in September and was hugely impressed. They’ve just released their new album Affinity from which “Earthrise” has been taken

Universal Mind Project – “Truth” feat. Mark Jansen

Universal Mind Control’s debut album The Jaguar Priest is out now. Sample some of the goods below and check them out if their brand of progressive metal appeals. Mark Jansen from Epica guests on this little number.

Caricature – “Stampede”

This is a 27-minute opus… about a cat called Parmesan. Front man Joseph Spiller found a kitten while he was sick. He rescued it and the pair seemed to be made for each other. The full story can be read over on Ghost Cult, but check out the beautifully simple video below. Get a cuppa and a sandwich first, though.
