Thursday Video Roundup (Heel, Hellyeah, Eve To Adam, Martyr)

Late in the day today as I’ve been a) busy and b) not particularly well, but here’s a selection of the latest videos for all the nightowls out there…

Heel – “Nothing New”

Bouncy London rocksters Heel have a new video out in the runup to a handful of dates across the UK from May to July. Keep an eye open for them. They have this to say about the video:

Nothing New is about the labels and managers taking artists who have potential to do something unique, and trying to turn them into pop bands who fit the same formula. Although the video may be tongue in cheek, the pressure on bands to conform to mainstream pop standards is something we see time and time again so we wanted to make a statement around that.

Hellyeah – “Human”

Another track from the forthcoming Unden!able, this one’s the “proper” video for “Human” following on from the lyric video that came out a couple of months back. The new album is only a few weeks away, due out on June 3rd. Lyrics are attached to the video’s page on YouTube if you click right through.

Eve To Adam – “Lucky”

A pounding rock track from Eve To Adam to keep you awake into the early hours. It’s the first track from the band’s recently recorded new album… of which I have no further details! I’m sure we’ll hear more about it soon enough.

Martyr – “Souls Breathe” (featuring Marloes “Izegrim” Voskuil)

This is the second single from You Are Next which was released at the end of March. Izegrim’s Morloes Voskuil does a great job with the duet vocals as well as featuring heavily in the video itself. Expect a (belated – sorry!) review of the album soon. In the meantime, enjoy this flavour of the tracks within.
