Another Dead City Ruins update

Dead City Ruins

Partly because their promotional machine is ever-active, and partly because the band sent me a signed copy of their album (which I really, really appreciate) along with a nice letter I’m going to plug this incredible Aussie band one more time. At least one more time. Probably some more in the future, too.

First off, the album (their second and self-titled) has been very well received. Don’t just take my word for it. Melbourne’s “The Hard Rock Show” said:

“It is an absolute ripper of an album and I give it a 9/10; my highest review ever … It is fucking killer, I love it.”

Talking about the band, Skid Row’s Dave “Snake” Sabo had this to say:

“…they’re just these young, broke kids who don’t give a fuck except to play music in front of people. I love it and it’s inspiring on a daily basis. That’s the spirit of rock and roll in those kids.”

And he should know. They just toured Europe with them, then requested that Dead City Ruins stay on to go around Australia with Skid Row and Ugly Kid Joe.

Finally, a couple of videos. All-new footage from the European tour, in HD and using a handful of cameras not just a drunk guy in the crowd waving his mobile phone around like a lighter during an encore performance of “Wind of Change“. One embedded, links to the other two. Too many videos is messy! All four videos courtesy of Karsten Küpfer – thanks, man!

I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from and about these guys. Hard work deserved reward and DCR work their arses off to entertain you lot. Give them some payback!
