I reviewed Chlorine’s album Path of Destruction last year and it came as a pleasant surprise, a breath of fresh air through my aged cobwebbed head. The band got in touch this week to let us know they’d released a new single, “Blur”.
Available now on all the usual platforms (you can play it on Spotify below), it’s familiar in sound if you have heard the album. As a single, it’s great, allowing the band to show their chops in relation to songwriting, musical ability and production. It’s got a cracking guitar refrain that flies overhead through the latter half while the vocals bounce between angsty and soulful. It’s also quite an emotive piece which bears up to a few listens.
