M2TM London Gig Report: Heat 11 at The Unicorn, London (16 February 2020)

Metal 2 The Masses London returned to The Unicorn in Camden on Sunday 16th February with four more self-signed and unsigned bands battling it out for the opportunity to play at Bloodstock Open Air Festival; the UK’s biggest independent metal festival. Competing this week were Sacrificial Slabs (death metal), Blackhorse Road (heavy prog rock / metal), Crostpaths (alternative metal / nu-metalcore) and Exiler (rock n roll).

After all four bands played their sets the judges deliberated and came to their decision. It was a tough one to call and three bands were announced as tied winners: Sacrificial Slabs, Exiler and Blackhorse Road – huge congratulations to all three bands. Congratulations also to Crostpaths who put on such a great performance that they were announced as going through to one of the “pit” rounds later in the competition, giving them another chance at glory.

M2TM London is back at The Unicorn on 23rd February for the last of the initial “heat” rounds, with four more bands battling for the chance to play Bloodstock festival 2019, plus a performance from a special guest (non-competing) band! Get all the details here.
