I have heard rumblings about Hunter & The Bear for a while now so it was great to finally get to check them out, and this was the perfect introduction; beers and chats with the band in a gorgeous recording studio, hearing them play two acoustic tracks, then listening to their forthcoming debut album Paper Heart a whole month before release day! It was great to see how excited the band were for their forthcoming headline UK tour and the release of their first studio album.

Hunter & The Bear are four lovely, hard-working lads from London who have already supported classic rock giants including Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and Simple Minds, as well as playing on big stages at Reading & Leeds, T in the Park and Hard Rock Calling. Their music is a gorgeous blend of classic rock with modern pop hooks and a raspy vocal, and would appeal to a wide spectrum of rock fans. You can catch them on tour up and down the country in May and June – full dates below. I think these guys might be destined for big things, so catch them in one these smaller venues while you can!

Sheggs’ review of Paper Heart (due for release on 12 May) will be up soon, so keep your eyes peeled! In the meantime, you can check out the video for the band’s latest single below.
