The lone self-professed “talentless idiot” behind Foul Body Autopsy returns will an impressive line up and gory artwork (from none other than Dan Goldsworthy) to really hammer home this Halloween offering inspired by the acid bath murderer John George Haigh – Crucifix Dreams.
The Nightmarish title track opens with a chilling spoken word contribution from Temple of Lies’ Simon Shaw, and from there engulfs the listener is what is easily the most blistering track I have heard from Foul Body Autopsy. Alongside the spoken word contribution there is also Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth) on drums and Steve Di Giorgio (Testament) on bass, with guitar solos being provided by Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) and Bobby Koelble (Death). Bloody hell. For a track that was written five years ago and which has yet to appear on any other release it has certainly been given the all star treatment!
The rest of the EP is made up of tracks that were recorded when Foul Body Autopsy headlined the Leicester Metal 2 The Masses show in April of this year. The tracks, “Synthetic Existence” and “Left To Rot”, are taken from Foul Body Autopsy’s self titled 2013 album and “Born Into A Manmade Hell” from the 2014 EP So Close To Complete Dehumanization, and are delivered with a level of frenzy worthy of such a monumental release.
