When this post goes live, I’ll be in a seminar learning how to use household objects as weapons for self defence. I love my life.
Salt – “Don’t Look at Me That Way”
Sundays are meant to be relaxing so here’s something that rocks without raising the blood pressure too much. Salt formed in 2014 and are taking their first tentative steps into the big world after playing a load of local shows and then being picked for some festival appearances. If you like the track, you can grab it as a free download on Soundcloud.
Kvelertak – “Svartmesse”
Kvelertak snuck this one out a couple of days ago, but I didn’t have the chance to put it up. Sundays are for catching up, so here we go.
Pet Clinic – “Sick Witch”
“Sick Witch” the new video from Pittsburgh experimental rock 5-piece Pet Clinic is now streaming. The video was inspired by the band’s recent bouts of sleep paralysis says keyboardist John Henderson:
I’ve had a collection of 3-foot-high creatures hold a seance around me. Our drummer, Kenny, has experienced a dark humanoid ready to pounce from the shadows. In Louisiana they call it “witch riding” because the “witch” climbs onto your chest and rides you all night and you wake up exhausted. In Japan they call it the “night hag”.
Bleeker – “Where’s Your Money”
Rounding things off with a lyric video from Bleeker who are touring in support of Royal Republic & Dinosaur Pile-up this coming week. If you’re heading to a show, get there early to see them!
