Monday Video Roundup: Dan Reed Network, Tokyo Taboo, Eat Me, Devilskin

After having to skip a roundup last Monday as there weren’t enough videos to pick from, I’m currently snowed under and typing this up at the end of the previous week! And I still have one or two in the inbox… Videos: like buses. Only without the surly drivers.

Dan Reed Network – “The Brave”

Dan Reed Network have just made a new official video for their new single “The Brave”, which is the second single taken from their new album Fight Another Day. The single is officially released today (Monday 18th July) and it’s the second single taken from the album.

Tokyo Taboo – “Make it out Alive”

“Make It Out Alive”, the new single from Tokyo Taboo (out July 29th) is not for the faint hearted. The video, shot in once thriving and now desolate Salton Sea, California, shows hard hitting and graphic footage of war. The video (and song itself) is unapologetically pro ‘the people’ and anti right wing politics. ‘We wanted a video that showed the reality of war. Not a romanticised Hollywood version of it.’ the band explain.

The song is taken from their upcoming debut album; 6th Street Psychosis. It was recorded in Los Angeles, California with producer Noah Shain (Dead Sara, Orson) and will be released on September 30th.

Eat Me – “Melon Enema”

Ever wondered what a bunch of juvenile punks sound like when you merge influences from Paul Simon to Metallica and through to a drunk sounding Weezer? The answer is Eat Me and oh my word is it wonderful. Eat Me have signed to Venn Records (Gallows, Muskets, Milk Teeth). Their forthcoming EP Melon Enema will be out on vinyl, limited to 300 copies through Venn Records on September 9th.

Devilskin – “Fade”

Devilskin release their new single, the grand and majestic “Fade”from the album We Rise. “Fade” was one of the first songs they wrote together as a band and they believe “its genesis really propelled Devilskin onto bigger and better things.” Shot on a cold wooded beach out of Auckland, Devilskin wanted the beauty of nature as a backdrop to capture all the elements of the song.

Devilskin are currently mixing their new album and plan to return to the UK and Europe early 2017.
