Brighton’s premier seafront venue CHALK will be hosting an extra special charity gig on Saturday 15th March, in memory of Lucy Cahillane, sister of Bifteck’s drummer, Dominic Cahillane who he sadly lost to suicide in March 2022.
Dominic has been working tirelessly since to raise funds and awareness related to bereavement. The evening promises first-class rock and live music entertainment with 100% of all ticket sales going to the charity Survivors of Bereavement of Suicide (SoBS).
The amazing Billy Lunn will bring The Subways’ energy to the stage before Indie Rockers Bifteck reunite for a 25thAnniversary show. Also on the bill are Stupid Hearts Club and (just announced) Harry Mold.
The evening will be a great opportunity to rock out to an evening of live music, and also for those struggling with the after-effects of suicide to come along, meet and feel safe, share tips, stories, a hug, or just be around warm minded people.
As a former Brighton Uni alumni and Brighton beach lifeguard, Lucy’s spiritual home was Brighton so it felt appropriate that the band honour her with a huge show in the town she loved, with a gig she would have loved. The amazing staff at CHALK have been critical in facilitating this opportunity.
Representatives of UKSoBS will also be on hand to offer any advice, contact details etc for meetings and support groups around the country.
