The “Music of the Spheres World Tour” by Coldplay will be resuming on the 19th of January, this year. 2024 will be the 3rd consecutive year for Coldplay touring the world in support of their 9th studio album, “Music of the Spheres.”

The album, “Music of the Spheres,” was released on the 15th of October, 2021 and from some of the interviews given by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, “Music of the Spheres” will possibly be the band’s last recording, as the band is set to stop recording by 2025.

As you know, the “Music of the Spheres World Tour” started in 2022, and Coldplay has littered their Instagram timeline with certain cities that made the tour memorable for them. We’ve checked these posts to see why Coldplay chose to specially celebrate these cities, during the 1st and 2nd years of the “Music of the Spheres World Tour.”

What we found will intrigue you, and it’s nothing less than the happy moments that have overthrown any possible sadness in the hearts of Coldplay members. That’s what you’ll realize too, when you go through this post, and possibly come across these videos soon.

The videos posted under each city feature some iconic parts of the city, and also the happy moments of everyone, even before the concerts, so it was a beautiful experience watching them.

With the tour resuming soon, we’re sure Coldplay will record happier memories as it draws near conclusion this year. Before then, you can look up Coldplay 2024 tour tickets at your own time, while we check out the cities that made “Music of the Spheres World Tour” an amazing tour for Coldplay and the world.

Tokyo

Coldplay had a wonderful time in Tokyo, Japan. We can tell from the moments captured in the video they posted which also featured shots from the concert of the “Music of the Spheres World Tour,” held in the “Tokyo Dome.”

One of the songs that drove the crowd crazy was, “Something Just Like This.” Even the video itself had the song as background music. The video also displayed some beautiful artistry of Tokyo, alongside the beautiful people of Japan.

Kaohsiung

After Coldplay left Tokyo, they went straight to Kaohsiung. From the video they posted, the band took a mini tour of the city before their performance that night. One of the moments that captured our attention in the video was the placard of a concert attendee that had the note “Traveled 19k Kilometer to see you,” on it.

This just goes on to show the dedication Coldplay fans have towards the “Music of the Spheres World Tour.” The stadium was filled with fireworks and colors that represented the album, “Music of the Spheres,” being shot out of the stage canons, into the air, creating a befitting atmosphere for all.

Jakarta

“Humankind” was used as the background music in the video that featured Coldplay’s memories in Jakarta. The concert was held in Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, located in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The video was filled with flashes of phone torches, something that has now become a tradition in every Coldplay concert. The band did not leave Jakarta without visiting some iconic places, like where the Indonesian “National Monument” is located, and also the “Selamat Datang Monument.”

Australia

The video for Australia was just a show of force by Coldplay. It captured different moments of the tour. The happy moments, the emotional ones, and also, the crazy ones that showed fans unleashing a hidden dancing talent they never knew existed.

Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres World Tour” concert was held at Optus Stadium, located in Perth. The attendance was massive. Optus Stadium is known to have a standard capacity of 60k people if they were seated. We all know people hardly sit at Coldplay concerts, so you can imagine the turn-up.

The video also featured additional dates that Coldplay added to the show since last year, for this year’s leg. The dates, just in case you missed them are;

OCTOBER 2024

  • 30 – Melbourne, Marvel Stadium
  • 31 – Melbourne, Marvel Stadium

NOVEMBER 2024

  • 6 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
  • 7 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
  • 13 – Auckland, Eden Park

Coldplay also made a post sympathizing with some of their fans who couldn’t make it to their Perth show the last time, due to some flight cancellations, affecting their travels.

In addition to the post, Coldplay promised to offer their affected fans tickets to their 2024 show, which is this year, as a sign of appreciation.

The video in Perth also showed the moment a couple in the congregation held up a placard that read, “You brought us together, 8 years ago.” Such a romantic memory.

Kuala Lumpur

Sometimes, we all just take a minute to wonder, how does Coldplay do it? How do they get thousands of people to turn up for their concerts? But that answer comes naturally, because they are in fact, one of the greatest British bands to rock the earth.

The video captured in Kuala Lumpur started with a perfect shot of the golden statue of the god Murugan. A few seconds into the video came an early shot of outside the concert venue, which was Bukit Jalil National Stadium, located in Kuala Lumpur with tons of people trying to get access to the venue.

Coldplay members could be seen walking to the stage like they were not going to create magic. You also need to see the comment section of the Kuala Lumpur post; the fans were begging Coldplay to come back soon.

One comment made by Nurul.syazwanii, caught our attention in particular. It reads, “Please don’t wait until the next 6-7 years to come back… I’ll be 40 by then. I want to experience the free-standing option hence please come back as soon as u can before my knees expire.”

We sure hope his or her knees don’t “Expire” before Coldplay returns to Malaysia.

Seattle

Coldplay dropped a special Instagram post appreciating their fans in Seattle for the wonderful memory. 60k people came out that night to support and watch Coldplay perform “Let Somebody Go.” H.E.R. was also on the stage that night as a supporting act, so it was a night filled with beautiful memories for Coldplay and their fans.

The concert was held in Lumen Field, which turned out to be almost too small for the multitude that came out that night. A lot of fans wished Coldplay would come back to Seattle again. And who knows, they just might, seeing that they have made a special video sharing their view of the tour.

Amsterdam

People who came early to Johan Cruyff Arena where the “Music of the Spheres World Tour” concert was held were the luckiest as they got to watch Chris, Guy, Will and Jonny walk the stage even before the concert officially began.

From the moments captured in the video, you can tell everyone was genuinely happy to be there. We also got to watch first hand, the Xylobands in action. A lot of people who didn’t have them also didn’t hide their displeasure in the comments section of the video.

Hopefully, Coldplay will try to make sure everyone at the concert gets to wear the Xylobands next time they visit Amsterdam. After all, the people there are begging for a re-visit.
