September 24th 2022 marks no less than 12 rounds of Hordes X (formerly known as Hordes Of Belial). The yearly, two stage, Scottish celebration of heavy riffage has been shouting out on behalf of underground metal and hard rock for over a decade now.
This year sees the all-dayer draw on a Scottish headliner for the first time in many moons. Top billing goes to blackened folk metallers, Saor, who recently released their latest album, Origins, via the influential record label Season Of Mist. Leading the second stage are Karybdis, a melodic, technical death-metal band from London.

However, the original impetus for Hordes X has always been to generate a platform for emerging talent. The support card is now totally filled out as follows:

While these acts are carved from the underground, regular attendees will tell you the quality bar is set high! Hordes X is always home to somebody’s new favourite band. And it’s always advisable to get down early, for just that reason.
