With just over a month to go until Nova Rock returns for its 13th year, the line-up is now complete and the clock it is ticking until the first bands take to the stage. We thought it would be the perfect time to take a look at what the four-day festival on the outskirts of the the Austrian town of Nickelsdorf has to offer this year.
Having featured some massive headline acts in recent years has earned Nova Rock a reputation that is comparable to the likes of Download Festival in the UK or Rock AM Ring in Germany. The festival organiser had a monumental task on their hands to even match the quality of previous lineup, let alone surpass it. The good news is they have more than risen to the challenge by booking headline slots for Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, Iron Maiden and the German band Die Toten Hosen over the weekend and a brilliant selection of bands throughout all four days.
The festival kicks off on Thursday the 14th of June with a day of massive names from the US and UK, with a nice sprinkling of German speaking bands to add some variety. This is a theme that continues throughout the weekend.
The full line-up is listed to the right, however if you want to see this great selection of bands in the beautiful Austrian countryside you will have to be quick. A post on the festival’s Facebook page a few days ago shows that there are only limited numbers of festival passes and VIP passes remaining. So get your tickets bought, flights booked and we will see you in Nova Rock next month.
