Bad Pond Festival, Brighton – coming your way this month

Small Pond are excited to present the third instalment of the Bad Pond Festival, taking over both rooms of iconic seafront club The Arch in Brighton on 27th and 28th April 2018. This venue marks a notable step up in size for the festival, building on the huge success of the event over the past two years.

With both Early Bird tiers sold out, Standard tickets are now on sale and moving fast.

Bad Pond sees the Small Pond crew bringing together some of their favourite established and up-and-coming bands, for an eclectic and adventurous line-up. The acts range from the experimental rock of internationally acclaimed bands TTNG, Delta Sleep, Slabdragger, Tangled Hair and The Physics House Band, to the psychedelic jazz-inflected dream pop of rising Bristol band Cousin Kula, via electronic noise rock outfit CLT DRP, self-styled hyper groove merchants Suffer Like G Did, and intrepid instrumental trios Chiyoda Ku and TOSKA.

Skirting the outer edges of indie, Yumi And The Weather’s colourful, soulful and shimmering electronic-laced guitar songs join the hazy indie-punk of Gender Roles. This adds to folk-inflected, noisy-beautiful four-piece Wild Cat Strike; heavy desert/stoner rock band InTechnicolour; psychedelic misfit supergroup The Brackish (featuring members of This Is The Kit, Phantom Limb and Zun Zun Egui); the arresting, poly-rhythmic outsider pop of LibraLibra (fronted by Beth Cannon, also known for work with Nordic Giants and Bella Union’s Lost Horizons), and many more.

What the team have also done is create a 22-track “sampler” for the festival so you can get a taster of all the bands appearing! Stream it below, and check out the festival website for more details.
