Cotswolds-based festival Amplified has announced three more stellar bands to its line-up. Joining this year’s festival are:
The Dirty Youth – This bunch come with credentials that would be the clear envy of many an artist in the rock industry: multiple Download Festival appearances, over ten million YouTube views and massive critical acclaim for their albums Red Light Fix and Gold Dust. They feature a sound that is big, ballsy anthemic hard rock with essences of punk and harmonious vocal melodies which is truly infectious! Recently signed to Marshall Records, expect more raw, heavy and melodic anthems… more importantly, expect something fresh and exciting from the Dirty Youth here headlining the Very Metal Art Stage.
The Hyde Project – A collective of musicians bringing you an evolving creation, taking lyrical inspiration from some of the world’s most prolific killers. Drawing styles from metal, hardcore and djent, the band are a powerhouse of groove that can’t be contained as the recording project it once was!
The Kut – Infused with the fuzz of 90’s grunge and alt rock, The Kut perform live as a trio in the vein of Deftones, L7, Nirvana, Hole, Incubus and Placebo. Voted into the winning spots of the MTV Brand New Unsigned Poll for 2014, subsequent EP releases have gained support from The Guardian, Metro, Scuzz, Kerrang! Magazine, Planet Rock, BBC Introducing, Kerrang! Radio, Metal Hammer, Big Cheese, Q, Classic Rock and MTV USA.
This year has seen The Kut featured as one of Kerrang! Magazine’s Breakthrough acts of 2017, while The Kut EP was released on 500 limited edition discs featuring at number 4 in Kerrang! Magazine Top 10 Record Store Day Releases. The rest of the year saw them perform all over the UK and several dates across Europe. Her songwriting talent also saw Princess Maha as a finalist in the National UK Songwriting Contest. Currently in the studio finishing their debut album, 2018 promises to be the year of The Kut… They’re going to be seismic!
