DesertFest announce second headliner and seven more bands

Next May, DesertFest London will conglomorate the riffiest bands around into a dangerously condensed area. Already billed for the 2018 incarnation of the event, held from the 4th to the 6th of May, is: Monster Magnet, Eyehategod, Nebula, Jex Thoth, Planet Of Zeus, The Black Wizards and Black Moth.

Here are the 8 newest additions to the festival:

Graveyard – Following their brief hiatus, the Swedes will make their long awaited UK return in the most deserving form – a headline set at DesertFest 2018 with their retro, bluesy rock ‘n’ roll riffage.

Weedeater – A firm “please-book-them-every-year” band, Weedeater return to DesertFest for what we understand will be “sweaty, loud and smokey”. Sounds like a perfect fit!

Elder – With this year’s Reflections of a Floating World fresh in the wing-mirror, the proggy riffers are also set to return to DesertFest in 2018. Bring your chin-stroking face.

Zeke – All the way from Seattle, Zeke will bring the punk, they’ll bring the rock ‘n’ roll and they’ll bring the speed. Name a better threesome. Maybe don’t actually…

Freedom Hawk – Hailing from Virginia, doom/stoner metallers Freedom Hawk will bring the fuzz-filled frenzy down on Camden. Be there or be less than cool.

Miss Lava – While you’re there, give Portugal’s stoner-grunge quartet Miss Lava a rowdy welcome to the country as they make their first UK appearance. What a great place to debut!

Trevor’s Head – For those who like their bands to be named like pubs and play the chunkiest of all chunky riffs, check out Trevor’s Head. You won’t be disappointed, both criteria are filled!

Mountains – And last but not least, catch London’s locals; Mountains who will also be appearing with some fine proggy goodness.

If this sounds like you’re kind of lineup, take a gander to their website for tickets and further details. Also stay tuned and keep your ears to the ground for more band announcements and other invaluable DesertFest-related info.
