Following the storming success of this years festivities at Beermageddon, the organisers are keen to build hype towards next Augusts’ event already with a host of announcements including our final headliner. With folk-metallers Hærken and Footprints In The Custard already lined up, the new announcements include:
Stepping into Beermageddon’s final headline slot, Martyrium now top Saturday’s bill at the festival, bringing their blend of blackened death metal, morbid orchestrations, industrial elements, all the theatricality, occult imagery and raw energy that is required from a Beermageddon headliner. Should be good!
Opening on Friday night will be none other than everyone’s favourite zombie-clown extreme metallers Donkerkarnuffel. With their peculiar form of clowncore, this is another perfect booking for the festival, set on tearing the joint wide open with their “Cirque de mort”. I should also add here that this year’s Friday night party theme is The Circus. Winners of the fancy dress will be gifted with tickets to Beermageddon 2019!
This is one band that the festival seems very excited to present to its people. The Face Of Ruin plays a catchy and heavy blend of melodeath riffs with breakdowns, black metal and “whatever else they’re listening to at that point”. Also forming through “shit horror films and music that makes your ears bleed” this sounds like another Beermageddon 2018 staple.
With a successful 2016 performance at the festival already under their belt, Shadowflag will return with a new album further honing their spoken-word laced black metal. Again, the organisers seem ecstatic about this bunch so we’ll just have to take their word for it.
Fjords
Cherry picked by the organisers prior to the recording of their debut album is progressively minded metallers Fjords. Already “making a big name for themselves on the live circuit”, we’re assured they’ll be “the band on everyone’s lips” by the time their set rolls around so we might just take a sneak peak at the band now!
Beermageddon runs from the 24th to the 26th of August 2018 at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove.
Early bird tickets are available now for the modest price of £35 with free camping and free parking. For all things Beermageddon visit their site here and start plugging these bands for next August!
