FVNERALS and First Temple Of The Atom Tour

Two of Glasgow’s finest purveyors of doom-tinged music, FVNERALS and First Temple Of The Atom, are embarking on a tour of the UK and France this month.

Based in Glasgow, FVNERALS are a band that exist on the fringes of doom, post-rock, shoegaze and dark ambience. In the tradition of Earth, and contemporaries such as True Widow and King Woman, FVNERALS meticulously meld soundscapes both ethereal and oppressive.  FVNERALS’ second album Wounds was released in October 2016 through The Native Sound (USA) and Golden Antenna Records (EU).

Formed in Glasgow in 2016, First Temple Of The Atom’s music depicts a struggle to remain sane and hold on to reason in a world of accelerating fragmentation and cruelty.  Their music is a synthesis of post, black and doom metals, with nods to renaissance-era chorale music and baroque tonality.

First Temple Of The Atom will be launching their debut EP on the first night of the tour at Glasgow Stereo on Friday 8th September – it will be released on limited cassette through COG Recordings and as a digital download available from their bandcamp page.
Tour dates:
  • Sep 8th – Stereo, Glasgow (with sludgy punks Yelt)
  • Sep 9th – Think Tank Underground, Newcastle (with Snakes Don’t Belong In Alaska)
