Another load of awesome stuff has been announced as we head into prime gig time, check it out!
Venom Inc
The rejuvenated 1989-1992 incarnation of Venom including guitarist Jeff Dunn, frontman Tony Dolan and drummer Anthony Bray, arrived rather unexpectedly in my inbox recently with the news of Avé; the groups first full length release, out on Nuclear Blast on 11th August. With it, they’ve now announced details of a UK Tour for this Autumn, concluding at London’s hallowed Underworld, where you shall find me on the 14th of August. “Dein Fleisch”, lifted from the forthcoming record has also been released via Nuclear Blast’s YouTube page. What a good start to the day that was!

Coming off the back of the excellent You Will Never Be One Of Us, grindcore metallers Nails have announced two further dates either side of their appearance at Damnation Festival in Leeds. This November they will play the dates below alongside a further six dates through Europe and Russia. It’s an overused sentiment but this is not to be missed and once again, this is where you’ll find me on the 5th!

- 4th – Damnation Festival, Leeds
- 5th – The Underworld, London
Northlane
At the tail of end of November and the very beginning of December, Northlane will embark on “The Mesmer World Tour” which includes seven UK dates accompanied by Erra, Invent, Animate and Ocean Grove. After warming up on the Summer festival circuit (including a slot at Download), guitarist Josh Smith says they are “ready to bring Mesmer to the citizens of Europe and the UK with our sickest show we’ve had here to date. We can’t wait, and you can’t miss it!”. To get you in the mood for some tech-metally goodness, check out “Solar”, lifted from Mesmer, released earlier this year to welcoming reception.

Radio Moscow
Prior to the release of the mind-warping blues trios’ fifth studio outing New Beginnings (out on September 29th), the group will head out on four UK shows this August with The Groundhogs as main support. The title track (and album opener) has been released as a live session to give a wee hint of where the band are going here. Disclaimer: it’s pretty funky…
