Fresh from their headlining appearance at this year’s touring Impericon Festival (review here), Thy Art Is Murder have announced a week-long jaunt through the UK under the name “Dear Desolation World Tour”.
The shows are in support of their as-yet-untitled fourth album, due this summer. If the album is anywhere near the quality of new single “No Absolution”, this will be brilliant and sit comfortably amongst their previous releases. The video for “No Absolution” can be found below.
Sumerian labelmates and fellow extreme metallers After The Burial and Oceano have been announced as touring support acts along with Justice For The Damned.
On the tour, Thy Art is Murder guitarist Andrew Marsh says:
We are super stoked to return to Europe, and this time with more UK dates than we have played in a very long time. For too long we have neglected the UK and we are going to make up for it in style. Joining us on our album headlining tour will be our great friends and ridiculously heavy bands, After The Burial, Oceano, and Australian blackened hardcore juggernauts Justice For The Damned. We can’t wait to bring our new record to the road, and this will mark the very first leg of the Dear Desolation world tour.
After The Burial collectively add:
We are very excited to finally make our way back over to Europe and the UK. It has been a few years now since we last had the pleasure of performing for our friends out there, and we can’t wait to come back and play some of our heaviest material to date.
Additionally, Oceano vocalist Adam Warren says:
It’s a long overdue affair for Oceano to return to Europe, along with finally doing a tour with the guys in Thy Art Is Murder and After the Burial! For both bands respectively it will be the first time Oceano has ever toured with these legends! So we are beyond excited and honored to be invited along for what surely shall be a massively heavy and successful tour.
The bands will remain together, playing shows throughout Europe from the end of September right through till the end of October. Tickets for all dates go on sale this Monday (22nd) at 10AM. The full list of UK dates can be found below.
