Download 2017 – more bands announced

Another slew of acts – quite the varied collection – was announced for Download 2017 this morning. Full updated poster to the side, but some of the highlights include:

Up-and-comers (Are they still at that stage? Aren’t they massive yet?) Brutai make their debut at Download after last year’s pounding performance at Bloodstock.

The main stage will see Swedish battle metal champions Sabaton plying their trade. Expect a superb stage show (as ever) from Joakim and the guys.

Missed them on their farewell tour? Well The Dillinger Escape Plan will be giving you one last chance to witness their insanity as they headline the Avalanche Stage on the Sunday.

Steel Panther bring their special brand of professional sexism to the Sunday main stage which will possibly result in thunder, lightning and showers of frogs.

A Day To Remember, Suicidal Tendencies, In Flames, Wednesday 13… and more have also popped up all over the bill. It’s shaping up to be a pretty enjoyable three-and-a-bit days.

Tickets for the festival, which runs from 9-11th June, are available now.
