Heavy Scotland are delighted to announce their complete line-up for their debut year with the addition of heavyweights Warbringer and Evil Invaders. Held at Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange between the 1st-2nd April, the two bands join an already hard hitting line-up.

Conducting the affairs of the festival and hosting the event is alternative tattoo model Femke Fatale.
To help add to the line-up, the festival have launched a Battle of the Bands for an unsigned act to join the world-class billing. Three battles, eight bands, and one winner. The three events are to be held on 28th January, 11th February and 25th February. Further details in the poster to the side.

Really dissapointed that two metal festivals are happening 50 miles apart on the same day, for me there is only one winner LOTLF, I just dont see £80 worth of value in this.
I agree (partly), David. The clash is annoying for fans and the festivals themselves. I wish they’d communicated better, but what’s done is done.
In terms of bands, the MT Crew is split between the two. For some, it’s a coin toss, for others the bands are definitely better at one than the other. Price is definitely a factor, though!
Personally, I’m going to look at the positives – we’ve gone from no festivals a few years ago to several (including Wildfire’s regular 3-day effort in the summer). With some better communication between events next time, hopefully everyone will benefit.
