Beermageddon 2017 – first announcements

Hot off the airwaves, here are the big opening announcements for next year’s season-closing Beermageddon Festival.

Every year festival goers vote for the band they would most like to see return to take the coveted Friday night headline slot, and this year saw more votes than ever before with a poll that ran right to the wire, once all votes were tallied the band who will be returning are… Outright Resistance.

beermageddon-2017-1This is a band who won hearts and snapped necks at Beermageddon 2016 giving a heavy groove laden set of blistering riffs and face melting metal! Outright Resistance have a huge work ethic and their appearance at Beermageddon this year was only one small part of their assault of the UK, an unrivalled stage show which will be even bigger and better when they take to the stage as the Friday night headline band in 2017!

Beermageddon’s first ever international headline band hold a very special place in our hearts. They travelled from Germany in 2014 to play their first ever live show, and they chose to do it on UK soil at ‘Geddon. It seemed fitting after the band have made waves around Europe to welcome back as Saturday night Headliners… Totengefluster.

The band won many new fans at Beermageddon, with their blackened metal cementing them as all time favourites at the festival. Now with a second album ready to be released, Totengefluster feel the time is right to return to their spiritual home, a return to where their live journey began, a return to the home of heavy metal – Beermageddon!

Outright Resistance

After a high octane, full force performance in 2014 we knew it would just be a matter of time before we welcomed back to the Beermageddon stage… Godslave.

Cementing themselves as firm favourites in the UK these Teutonic Thrashers are ready to return and tear Beermageddon asunder, if you bore witness to Godslave in 2014 then you know they take no prisoners in their metal assault. One things for sure, Godslave’s return to Geddon will give us another performance that will be talked about for years to come. The Crew are coming home!

It is important to us at Beermageddon to bring you the finest metal from not only the UK but around the world, and this continues into 2017 with Sweden’s own… Zephyra.

A band with a huge diversity giving us heavy thrash through to melodic death metal they are ready to take the UK by storm at Beermageddon 2017 and bring their highly acclaimed live show to Bromsgrove. Following the huge reviews for their latest album As The World Collapses we cannot wait for Zephyra to hit the stage at Beermageddon 2017 – and rest assured with Asa’s distinctive female vocals they are a band who will make a huge impact with the festival crowd!

At Beermageddon they have always stressed how important it is that they do not just celebrate the new talent emerging, but also feel it their duty to bring back the bands who played a vital part in putting the festival where it is today, and why we see the return of… Warlord UK.

First appearing at Beermageddon for its inaugural year back in 2012, Warlord supply old school death metal at its finest. A brutal battering of unrivalled proportions, and with a huge history behind them spanning decades, Warlord were always a band on the radar to have back on the Beermageddon stage!

There is no denying they have the pedigree, there is no denying they supply the brutality, but there may well be some more surprises along the way for what is marked to be a monumental appearance at Beermageddon 2017!

It was 2014 when we first witnessed the tales of historical battles of old relayed by the blackened death metal that was supplied by… Stahlsarg.

In the years that have passed the band have become a metal leviathan, laying waste to stages in the UK and Europe and now the time is right for their return to once again battle Bromsgrove, a battle they demand you join them for! Now is the time… The tales shall be told again, the stories of battle and war, epic stories that will be told to you by Stahlsarg!

acid-trialGlasgow’s finest purveyors of heavy sludginess join the ranks as we welcome… Acid Trial.

A band who have been making a big impression in their short history with their dirty riffs, undeniable heaviness and their “Don’t give a fuck attitude”, it was high time they were dragged south of the border to crush some skulls at ‘Geddon 2017! Acid Trial have big Scottish boots to fill on the Beermageddon stage but they will be fucking up your eardrums in the best of ways when they hit the stage in Bromsgrove!

BEERMAGEDDON – 25th, 26th, 27th, August 2017
