Blastfest 2017

Finally, a line-up announcement for February next year. Held in Norway’s Bergen, a city steeped in metal culture and famed for its natural beauty with its location between seven mountains and seven fjords. Blastfest takes place right in the heart of winter on 22nd – 25th February 2017 and now on the lead up to its fourth incarnation with acts such as Devin Townsend Project, Dying Fetus and Hell having already been announced. This latest wave of band announcements has been promised to be just as fittingly epic for a Blastfest appearance.

Reunited after a six year hiatus, American black/death cult act Angelcorpse are back and will be in Bergen for the first time ever. Akercocke, again, another band united after a hiatus are back to summon the Antichrist and are set to do just that at Blastfest 2017. Fronted by Karl Willetts and featuring other members of Bolt Thrower and Benediction, Bergen is about to witness the war machine of Memoriam in full force.

Telling tales of their Roman ancestors, Ade, one of the fiercest death metal bands right now are set for an appearance at Blastfest as is genre-defying Americans Between The Buried & Me and black metal outfit Nordjevel, a band who’ve been making huge waves of late. Lucifer’s ChildBeneath, Hatesphere, Italian death metal quartet Hour Of Penance, Icelandic black/death act Zhrine, Swedish black metallers Avslut, atmospheric death metal trio The Monolith Deathcult and atmospheric black metallers Darkend complete the second wave of acts confirmed for Blastfest 2017.
