Quite fitting that the last date they play in the UK will be in Birmingham. No idea on ticket sale dates or prices as yet, though I remember them being stupidly expensive the last time they played Glasgow. I’d expect the same given that Ozzy may have to start saving up to pay for a divorce lawyer if the tabloids are to be believed…
It seems that all gigs are horrendously expensive. No wonder so many people download music, being a music fan has become a very costly hobby.
Not all gigs – there have been some tremendously good value packages recently such as last year’s Deathcrusher at Ā£25 for 5 bands, three of whom could have headlined. Conversely, though, you have Manowar demanding Ā£40 for a gig at the same venue Machine Head played a 2hr 45 minute set at for only Ā£20.
Check out the smaller, independent acts and you can get some really good gigs for Ā£5 – Ā£10. Beermageddon in August is a 3-day festival including camping for Ā£40.
