Beermageddon, which takes place at the tail end of August at Stoke Prior Sports & Country Club (the same location as Breaking Bands), has just announced the three bands which will be opening proceedings on the 26th, 27th and 28th.

With a name like Prolapse A.D. it’s not surprise to find that this bunch of thrashing nutters taker to the stage with a sense of humour. If there’s a band to start a party (and probably continue it no matter how much you might try to stop them when their set is finished) this is the one.

Saturday’s set will kick off with Witch Tripper, serving a slice of stoner groove metal for you to slowly bang your hungover head to. They’re good enough to have just won their regional M2TM final and grabbed a place at Bloodstock. Again. We spoke to them last year when they did it then, too. Obviously, they’ll be using that as a warm-up for their main performance at Beermageddon.

Spyder Byte begin proceedings on Sunday, defying tradition for this most chaste of days with a sleazy mix of sleazy punk, sleazy rock and sleazy glam. Don’t bother having a shower when you wake up in the morning. Leave it till after their set as you’ll be feeling filthy.

Tickets for the festival are only £40 including camping and you can grab them (along with more info) from the official website.
