Well, unless there are any more last minute changes! I’ve lifted the text below from the festival’s facebook page due to the fact I’ve got a stack of coursework to mark for morning and wanted to make sure this news got out. Note the change in Sunday headliner, in particular – but it’s still all good news with some cracking bands added to the line-up.
Tickets are available now from www.wildfirefestival.co.uk and selling really fast!
First up it gives us great pleasure to introduce you to Dorje Riding high after the success of their Catalyst EP, their addition as Sundays headliners (in place of the sadly missing in action Riot V) brings a classic mix of alt metal & prog metal. Expect pure emotion amidst a sea of tempo changes, intricate riffing and self-described “chubby grooves” Really special band!
We are also delighted to bring you 2 London based bands that recently impressed us during a Horrorfly Productions gig in Glasgow. First up and lending considerable heft to proceedings are 48Hours; a heavy-riffing rock machine with an arsenal of anthems at their disposal and a feral mix of pure metal power and rock melody, they land the coveted opening act of the weekend slot.
They will be joined by Dead Dollar Days who will add a sense of delicious drama when their Life Of Agony meets Royal Blood meets Queens of the Stone Age-esque rock ‘n’ roll hits Scotland.
The hard rock of Gasoline Outlaws may sound like it should come from the sweaty swamps of the U.S’s southern states but these boys actually hail from Northern Ireland and are now the 6th act to join us this year from across the Irish sea. We hope to see a lot of their friends joining us……
Propelled by the stunning vocals of Steph Kane, Stacey Kane & Chez Kane and after a blistering perfomance at Hammerfest, Swansea’s Kane’ddeliver lush harmonies and classic rock riffs and are sure to unleash a barrage of badass balladry when they hit the Wildfire stage.
Last but not least, we are stoked to announce and strictly in the camp of “by popular demand, the return of The Idol Dead. Already favourites from last year’s event their punk infused rock ‘n’ roll will surely be just as impressive the second time around; So there you have it. 6 new additions. 6 distinct sounds. One more announcement to come.
Which leaves Wildfire’s rather tasty line-up looking something like this:
