Glasgow – rock and metal doth spoil you this week!

A ridiculous number of gigs from bands old and new are jamming up the venues in the city this week. For those who are only focussing on the large ones, here’s the current list of the shows we’re aware of in case you’re free one evening…

Tuesday 24th (yeah, that was tonight)

Judas Priest at Barrowlands. No point shouting about this one earlier as it was sold out!

Wednesday 25th

Slayer / Anthrax / Kvelertak at the Academy – your editor and assistant editor will be at this one

Zebrahead / Patent Pending at The Garage – your editor is gutted this clashes with Slayer! His wife and daughter will be enjoying this show in his stead

Thursday 26th

Anthrax at The Cathouse – for those lucky enough to get tickets! At least two of the Crew are at this one and we’re really looking forward to it

Apocalyptica at the ABC – We’ll also be represented at this one, so expect a review and photos afterwards

Electric Six at the Oran Mor – topping off a great triplet of nicely differing options

Friday 27th

Green Jelly at Audio – hoping to get to this one if I survive the previous two nights!

Tigertailz at the Classic Grand – if Green Jelly weren’t on, then this is where I’d be heading

Beartooth at SWG3 – another one we should be covering, new band in a small venue. Want to give some newbies a shot? This is the one for you

Saturday 28th

Eva Plays Dead at Shadow Central – a great up-and-coming band in a tiny venue. Catch them now before they become stupidly famous!

Monday 30th

Altered Sky at Garage G2 – skipping into next week, but hey. A cracking new band celebrating their debut album release

Truly we are spoiled. And frustrated that we can’t get to all of them. Damn this scheduling! If you know of any dates I’ve missed, please drop something in the comments and I’ll add it.
