Black Moth to support Sisters of Mercy on UK/EU dates

Black Moth Glasgow 192Following their recent shows with L7, Black Moth (check out Gary’s review of the Glasgow show here) have now revealed that they’ll be touring with The Sisters of Mercy in October in the UK and Europe.

Since the arrival of their critically acclaimed second album, Condemned to Hope, in late 2014, Black Moth have really stepped up a gear. Following their own UK headline shows, a support tour with the awesome Amplifier, a headline appearance to an overflowing room at Camden Rocks festival, and most recently 2 triumphant dates with the recently reunited L7, the band have now announced that they will tour with The Sisters of Mercy in October.

Black Moth rose from the Leeds underground scene, taking their trash culture fixations and their love for Stooges squalor and Sabbath sulphur to create an onslaught of monumental riff sorcery and serpentine grace. With Harriet Bevan’s biting and beguiling voice leading the charge, the Moths effortlessly transcend their influences to arrive at a nefarious and turbulent brew. Equal parts horror movie atmosphere, thunderous drive, big riffs and maverick spark.

Having played Leeds, Reading, Temples Festival, Desert Fest and Download, as well as touring the UK and Europe, the band have also stamped their live authority on support slots with Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, Red Fang and Turbowolf as well as completing their first headline European tour at the end of 2014.
