This news is already “out there” but I wanted to wait for official confirmation before I put the story up here. And it doesn’t get more official than a press release from their promoter:
Not content with headlining the second stage at Download Festival, those hard-working Kentucky boys, Black Stone Cherry have added two additional shows a piece in both the UK and Ireland during their UK visit this June.
The extra dates rack up as follows:
- Thu 11th Jun – GLASGOW Garage
- Mon 15th Jun – CORK Pavilion
- Tue 16th Jun – DUBLIN O2 Academy
- Wed 17th Jun – BELFAST Ulster Hall
Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow, Friday 13th March from box offices, all usual agents and online from www.ticketmaster.ie and www.ticketmaster.co.uk [if you really fancy being screwed for booking fees – Mosh]. Traditionally, tickets for Black Stone Cherry’s UK shows don’t hang around for long so have your fingers at the ready!
Black Stone Cherry’s current album, Magic Mountain, which has racked up a silver disc certification in the UK, is available now over at iTunes and Amazon.
