Just got this through from Metal Blade. This year’s Metal Hammer sponsored Defenders of the Faith tour traverses around the UK in November, and the line-up is just staggering.

Headlining are Amon Amarth whose new album Deceiver of the Gods was released today. And it’s fucking good, too.

Second on the list… fuck me. It’s only Carcass, isn’t it? Let me say that again:

CARCASS

Their first album in seventeen years, Surgical Steel, comes out in September on Nuclear Blast. AND THEY’RE TOURING. Yes, am just a little bit excited.

Third on the bill are Glasgow’s Bleed From Within, who recently opened for Megadeth and put on a hell of a show at the Glasgow Academy. Another hometown performance for them should see them push themselves to the limit.

Opening are Hell, themselves going through a bit of a resurgence since their mid-80s beginnings.

But, people. Seriously. CARCASS!
