Available on streaming platforms and as a lyric video, the track is part of the EP Visions of the Abyss pt. 1, set for release in 2025.
Following their debut with “Shadows of the Condemned,” Over Rage, a heavy and thrash metal project led by guitarist Aloisio Mello, presents their second single, “Eyes of the Observer,” now available on streaming platforms and as a lyric video. The track was produced by Adriano Daga, known for his work with Angra and Almah, as well as being the drummer for the band Malta. The song will feature on the EP Visions of the Abyss pt. 1, scheduled for release in the first half of 2025.
Aloisio Mello comments on the project, which he works on alongside Fernando Kolmar “Feu” (vocals), Bruno Luiz (guitar, Gloria Perpetua, The Heathen Scÿthe, Command6, and Stormsons), Rich Gray (bass, Annihilator), and Felipe Milk (drums and orchestra):
It’s amazing to have incredibly talented musicians like Bruno Luiz, Felipe Milk, Fernando Kolmar, and Rich Gray (Annihilator) on board for this project, which is particularly meaningful to me as it represents my personal journey of overcoming depression. There were moments when the darkness felt overwhelming, but I found strength in music and creative expression.

Mello founded Over Rage in 2006 in São José dos Campos (SP), where he first experienced recording and performing live. The band went on hiatus in 2008. In 2013, he founded the thrash metal band Viociety, with which he composed and recorded the EP Instinct, performed at major festivals, and supported bands such as Matanza and Torture Squad. Viociety disbanded in 2015, and in 2024, Mello revived Over Rage. The guitarist hopes that Over Rage’s music will offer “the same hope and comfort to those facing their own internal battles.”
