Brazilian outfit Bad BeBop drops third album, Last Call to Mars

The Paraná-based heavy metal band Bad Bebop brings dynamics, heaviness, and 10 creative songs in Last Call to Mars, the third album of their career, now available on streaming platforms and in physical format via Lambrequim Cultural, in partnership with Brado Records and Barbatana Produções (Brazil), as well as Orleone Records (Brazil/Europe).

Seeking new horizons and with a solidified four-member lineup—Zé Trindade (vocals), Roger Larsen (bass and vocals), Henrique Bertol (guitar and vocals), and Celso Costa (drums)—Last Call to Mars reinforces the band’s commitment to experimenting with sound and shows even more maturity compared to their well-received second album, Starting Riots (2020).

Last Call to Mars is a cohesive record with robust compositions, featuring riffs that are sometimes straightforward and sometimes complex, with fast-paced and also slower songs, always accompanied by strong, melodic, and confident vocals.

The cover art of Last Call to Mars, highlighted by red and black colours, directly relates to the album’s title and lyrics, which address existential themes, personal growth, and references to the complexity of human nature.

The cover and lyrical concept flirt with the idea behind the popular saying, “the farther we go and the more isolated we feel, the closer we get to our essence.”

In this way, the Last Call to Mars carries the idea of going far away in search of self-control and redemption.
