Kit Trigg announces two support tours, festival dates and release new video for “Light at the End of the Tunnel”

Rising skate rockers Kit Trigg have announced tour dates across the UK in support of their recent EP Goin’ for Glory. They will be appearing as special guests to Marisa and The Moths this May, storming a bunch of festivals across the summer months, then hitting the road with Sons of Liberty in October.

It’s shaping up to be a busy year for the band, hot off the success of recent single “Goin’ for Glory” which scored Planet Rock airplay and a Classic Rock “Track of the Week” nomination.

The band kick things off at Coastal Crawl festival in February, before cranking it up to 11 in May with a lap around England taking in Southampton, Manchester, Nottingham and London in support of hot modern rockers Marisa and The Moths. The trio start their festival season at Call of The Wild Festival in Lincoln, before making a triumphant return to Loverocks in Dorset followed by a pit stop at Urban Van Fest in East sussex. They return to the road in October for a full UK tour supporting rock veterans Sons of Liberty.

Kit enthuses:

We’re all beyond psyched to announce not one but two killer support tours this year. We shared the stage with Marisa and the Moths recently at Monsterfest and it was clear we shared the same passion and energy so we can’t wait to get to do it all again, every night on tour. To then hit the summer festivals before another run in October with the hard rocking road warriors Sons of Liberty really is a dream for us. This whole year is going to be one for the history books!

To celebrate the announcement, the band have released a video for new single “Light At The End Of The Tunnel”. The track features on Kit and the gang’s latest EP Goin’ for Glory – released in December 2023 to critical acclaim. Showcasing a real depth and diversity, the EP is thematically rooted in optimism but with an edge that cuts through to the real world.  “Light at The End of the Tunnel” is a slab of raw and pure rock featuring a powerful message of integrity and positivity.

Kit explains:

The song began as a protest song about people who write protest songs. The primary target: sociopaths in yoga pants who weaponise their “enlightenment” for money, sex and power quoting the meaningful scriptures of the ancient East just to lure vulnerable young people into their clutches, one subscription to their retreats at a time. But the positive spin in this song is in the last verse, peace and love are not found on the other side of a gas guzzling aeroplane, but in the core of each human being. If you’re looking for a light at the end of your tunnel, it’s in you and it’s in me. But it’s tucked away quite deeply and it doesn’t need a credit card, or stamps in your passport… it just requires some digging.

The band consists of long-time friends Kit Trigg (vocals, guitar), Guy Fenegan (bass, backing vocals) and Nic Sleight (drums, backing vocals), who write classic rock songs for the present day. Having completed multiple tours around the UK and Ireland, selling out shows from Newcastle to Brighton, and opening for the likes of Muddy Waters Jr, Nick Oliveri, The Dust Coda and These Wicked Rivers, the band are primed and ready to take their captivating live show to the far corners of the UK (and beyond).

On a current winning streak turbocharged by a new partnership with Rock People Management, Holy Cow Management and Earache Digital Distribution, and with Pete Hutchings (Royal Blood, Foals) behind the mixing desk, this is just the start of a very sharp incline in the band’s trajectory. With a rapidly filling calendar, new music soon to be announced and a truly infectious rock n roll spirit, one thing is for sure; Kit Trigg will be riding this wave into a town near you, very soon.
