Skate rockers Kit Trigg reveal new EP – out today!

Farnham skate rockers Kit Trigg have revealed new EP Goin For Glory, out today on all streaming platforms via Earache distribution and on physical CD via the band’s website.

Featuring 4 fresh cuts from Kit and the gang, the EP showcases a real depth and diversity, thematically rooted in optimism but with an edge that cuts through to the real world.

Notwithstanding the dynamic vocals, poignant lyrics, choruses you can belt your heart out to or the turbo-charged rhythm section, it’s the quality of song-writing that sets this band apart. The writing of this EP began in none other than the Surrey “Delta” of Farnham, not far from where Pearl Jam mixed their iconic album Ten. The band would rehearse and play for hours and hours – creating powerful songs that had both mileage and a dynamic soul. In between the writing days, Kit would retreat to the sea or go skateboarding. The energy in these songs is directly influenced by the motion of the ocean and the flowing movement around a skate park.

Kit enthuses:

“Goin’ For Glory” was the mantra we used to help us come out of the Covid 19 lockdown. From a time of such immense negativity and isolation came a fighting spirit that really defined the next chapter in our lives. All four songs on this EP don’t just come from the head or heart, but from deep within our souls. Rock and roll is so much more than keeping up appearances. It is about showing up time and time again, guitar in hand, song in heart and playing like your life depends on it.

The band consists of long-time friends Kit Trigg (vocals, guitar), Guy Fenegan (bass, backing vocals) and Nic Sleight (drums, backing vocals), who write classic rock songs for the present day. Having completed multiple tours around the UK and Ireland, selling out shows from Newcastle to Brighton, and opening for the likes of Muddy Waters Jr, Nick Oliveri, Bully and Black Pistol Fire, the band are primed and ready to take their captivating live show to the far corners of the UK (and beyond).

On a current winning streak thanks to Planet Rock airplay and recent support slots with the likes of The Dust Coda and These Wicked Rivers under their belts, this is just the start of a very sharp incline in the band’s trajectory. With a calendar rapidly filling for 2024, a debut album soon to be announced and a truly infectious rock and roll spirit, one thing is for sure; Kit Trigg will be riding this wave into a town near you, very soon.
