Felix White, of The Maccabees, Tailenders and Yala! Records today announces the opportunity to win his Fender ThinLine Telecaster guitar to raise money for the Go Well Fund, which he set up earlier this year with fellow Tailenders Jimmy Anderson and Greg James. As played on the last two Maccabees albums and toured around the world extensively, the guitar has been a near constant companion to Felix through writing, recording and touring (including the last ever Alexandra Palace shows).
In its start up phase earlier this year, the Go Well Fund raised money to support individuals adversely affected by the Covid 19 crisis. It was keen to reach people who were particularly vulnerable at the time and has so far awarded 6 grants to charities tackling issues like food poverty, mental illness among young people and educational opportunities for BAME students; specifically The National Emergencies Trust, The Trussell Trust, The Stephen Lawrence Fund, The Bike Project, Safe Passage and UK Youth.
At this time of year, as Christmas approaches, people can experience particular hardship and Go Well are continuing look for ways to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged with the money raised. Tailenders have high hopes that Go Well, much like the podcast, will continue to be a positive force for good while the world can at times feel incredibly overwhelming. The three founders are dedicated to looking for ways to use their position in the public eye to raise crucial funds to help change lives for the better.
The prize draw will run until 14th December and to enter, you simply need to reward £10 on the Tailenders crowdfunder page. There is no limit to the amount of times one person can enter.
