Having racked up over half a century of streamed online performances during lockdown already, Bowling For Soup main man Jaret Reddick has announced a brand new online series; Jaret Reddick’s Happy Hour Hangtime!
Happy Hour Hangtime is a series of shows taking place every Thursday in August. Each show will feature a special guest, and help raise money for a different charity each week, chosen by the special guests. The first episode of Happy Hour Hangtime took place last Thursday, with Jaret’s longtime friends The Dollyrots appearing for 90 minutes of music, comedy and stories from Jaret and The Dollyrots, while raising money for MusiCares.

Jaret comments to provide some more details on how the shows work:
I have done so many streaming shows since quarantine to try and keep myself and others occupied. Happy Hour Hang Time is a bit different than a normal show you would see on social media. This show is part song swap (Myself and my guests take turns playing songs), part interview, and part just a plain ole laugh fest! Not to mention, it is a way for myself and my guests to support ourselves, as well as the charity of my guest’s choice, during this unprecedented time. 90 minutes of something the viewer will not see anywhere else…That’s a promise!
Happy Hour Hangtime is taking place on the Veeps streaming platform (owned by none other than the Madden Brothers of Good Charlotte) at 10pm UK / 5pm Eastern / 4pm Central / 2pm Pacific every Thursday. Upcoming guests include Tony Lovato of MEST and Ryan Cabrera! The current schedule of shows is as follows:
- 6th August w/ Tony Lovato of MEST
- 13th August w/ Josh Fleming of The Vandoliers
- 20th August w/ Special Guest TBC
- 27th August w/ Ryan Cabrera
Shows are priced at $10 or $13 if you buy on the day of the show, and shows can be watched on demand through Veeps for 72 hours after the event. More information can be found on Jaret’s profile on the Veeps website.
Away from the world of streamed live shows, Bowling For Soup recently released their take on Kid Cudi’s hit single “Erase Me.” For the cover, Bowling For Soup teamed up with their fellow Texan, Dallas hip hop rising star 10K.CAASH. Caash fills in for Kanye West’s original guest verses. The Lone Star State collaboration is the perfect fusion of pop-punk and hip-hop for a summer sing-along that will have listeners hitting repeat over and over.
Bowling For Soup’s version of “Erase Me” is the band’s latest in a string of cover songs they’ve released over the last year, and follows their worldwide smash hit original single “Alexa Bliss”.
