Collateral follow up their 2018 debut 4-track EP 4 Shots! and their single “Midnight Queen” with their explosive new single “Lullaby” taken from their highly anticipated eponymous debut album released in September. “Lullaby” will be released by Roulette Media on digital download on Friday 3rd May, accompanied with an official music video. You can pre-order it now.

Gorevent

Comatose Music have added the undisputed kings of Japanese brutal, slamming death metal to their ever more powerful ranks.

Gorevent have been exploring the realms of the extreme for fifteen years now and have released albums that stand as blood splattered monoliths in the shadowy underworld of brutal death metal. Their debut full length album, released in 2008, Abnormal Exaggeration, has been hailed by Teeth Of The Divine as one of the greatest examples of brutality even recorded, noting in their review…

… you cannot do death metal any better then the complete slamming, guttural putridity found on Abnormal Exaggeration…

Gorevent’s career to date has taken in demos, EPs, split releases with the likes of Embryonic Depravity, Stillbirth, Crepitation and Splattered and no less than four full length albums, culminating in last year’s flesh rending In The Face Of…, – which That’s How Kids Die called ‘one of their finest releases to date’, revelling in the ‘ bone-crushing heaviness’ and ‘superior slam-craft’.

But for all that has gone before, this is where the Gorevent story really starts. With the Comatose Music machine at their backs, Gorevent’s rise through the worldwide ranks of the depraved and deranged is surely assured. Be prepared for spine shattering slams, stomach churning brutality and death metal simply too heavy to resist…Gorevent are coming for you all with an early 2020 release!

Leitourgos

Irish progressive power/thrash metal band Leitourgos have released their debut album Slaves to the Master. The album was recorded at Slane Studios in Ireland, and was mixed and mastered by Christian Schwarz in Berlin, Germany.

Leitourgos was originally formed in 1991, but disbanded in 1995 when founding member Pieter Burger joined the thrash metal band Testoricide. The band was reformed in 2018 in Dublin, Ireland and released 2 singles, “Woe to the Vanquished” and “Book of Invasions”.

My Dying Bride

My Dying Bride have announced the release of A Harvest Of Dread – a deluxe 92-page 12” hardback book on the rise of the UK doom metal legends. The book contains 5 discs of rarities, early works, newly unearthed & never-previously-heard pre-production demos, band track favourites, & live audio. It’s released on 24th May through Peaceville Records and also features a foreword by the legendary Tom G Warrior of Triptykon/Celtic Frost/Hellhammer fame.

My Dying Bride has been the leading light of doom metal since their debut album As The Flower Withers was released on Peaceville Records back in 1992, and the band’s heavy atmospherics and expertly crafted compositions make them among the most essential and legendary acts of the gothic doom/death genre. To celebrate their illustrious career to date, Peaceville Records will release A Harvest Of Dread on 24th May.

A Harvest of Dread is a limited edition deluxe hard book featuring a 92 page book chronicling the rise of the long-standing genre leaders from their beginnings in West Yorkshire, UK, through their ascension towards becoming one of the UK’s primary metal forces, along with a look into why & how their creative vision and attitude has been so unwavering over the years. The book features interviews with the band members plus others associated with the scene from the early 1990’s to present day; with a large number of brand new interviews conducted in 2018 with former members of the band, this new 2019 release gives a more comprehensive look into the history of these doom metal masters and those fans who have eagerly awaiting this release will not be disappointed.

A Harvest Of Dread is available to pre-order now with option to purchase the book set with the limited edition etched “Hollow Cathedra” 7” single. “Hollow Cathedra” was recorded at the time of the band’s last opus, Feel the Misery and the 7” features the title track on one side, and etched lyrics on the reverse side.
