Nile
Nile, possibly the best Egyptian-themed band to come out of any genre have announced an appearance at London’s Dome. This is done as part of their February-long run through Europe for 2015’s What Should Not Be Unearthed. The band play London on the 9th of February with support coming from fellow death metallers Terrorizer and Exarsis. Whack on “Call To Destruction” while getting your tickets here.
Joe Bonamassa
No matter how hard you try, there’s no convincing some people. One of those is Joe Bonamassa who, if you told him he might be in need of a short rest, might just explode. Hampton Court Palace Festival is pleased to announce Joe for the 12th of June 2018 as part of their week long festival. Also appearing next June is Jools Holland and his rhythm and blues orchestra, The Beach Boys and Gary Barlow. If that sounds like your cup of music, head over here for tickets.
DesertFest
It seems we may have spoken too soon when we shared the news of DesertFest’s new arrivals the other day as earlier today, they wasted no time in releasing another tonne of acts playing next May.
The new bands include final headliners High On Fire alongside The Obsessed, Church of Misery, Black Rainbows, Death Alley, Akercocke, Puppy, The Watchers, Old Man Lizard, Blackwülf, PIST, and Morass Of Molasses. MYR
Out of numerous auditions, prog metallers MYR have landed on Luca Zamberti (of Onydia) as their new Drummer and Raffaele Borgi (Elephants & Castle) to take up the guitar. These past few months have seen the band expand their sound for the recording of the next album. Check out “Addiction” from 2016’s Habits.
Weigedood
These Belgians can now add Arch Enemy, Napalm Death, At The Gates and Suicide Silence among others as their contemporaries as they sign a deal with Century Media Records. Both releases De Doden Hebben Het Goed and De Doden Hebben het Goed II solidified Weigedood as a band worthy our attention. Now, following shows with Wolves In The Throne Room, the band head into the studio to record the third and final chapter of the “De Doden Hebben het Goed” trilogy with De Doden Hebben het Goed III and Century Media by their side.
