A quick roundup from the many emails we get regarding upcoming releases…

Paradise Lost

Century Media Records will reissue the essential studio albums In Requiem (2007), Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us (2009), and Tragic Idol (2012) by UK gothic metal pioneers Paradise Lost as high class vinyl editions in September 2017. Furthermore, the band’s 25th anniversary show recorded in London on November 3rd, 2013 by Abbey Road Live is going to be released on vinyl as a one time only pressing, too.

Previously, Live At The Roundhouse was released as 2x CDR and digital album under the title Tragic Illusion Live At The Roundhouse, London offering a career spanning set-list and authentic, honest live sound due to being recorded and mixed on-the-fly. The vinyl’s front cover was created by Valnoir and is based on a shirt design originally offered at this unforgettable show back in 2013.

Live At The Roundhouse and all album reissues have been mastered for vinyl by Patrick W. Engel / Temple Of Disharmony (Iced Earth, Tiamat, Moonspell) and feature 180 gram vinyl and gatefold sleeves.

Release dates are as follows:

  • Tragic Idol – September 8th, 2017
  • Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us – September 8th, 2017

The regular black vinyl and coloured “In Requiem” repress are distributed internationally by Sony Music (excluding North America, Canada, Mexico) and can be obtained at all usual outlets.

Russian death metal band Ethnor have released their debut EP Exile. The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Taras Garadga at Portal Studios.

Ethnor was formed in 2010 by ex-members of the band Decadent with industrial death metal influence, and released their debut single “Virus”.

You can check out the EP below, and you can throw some money at the band for it if you like, too – it’s available to download on a “pay what you want” basis.

The Professionals

Thirty-five years on, the band formed from the ashes of the Sex Pistols by Paul Cook and Steve Jones is back. Revitalised, re-energised and reinvigorated, the band proudly release their new album What In The World on October 27th 2017, on Automaton Records.

What In The World bristles with conviction and finds The Professionals on electrifying form, delivering some of the most ballsy, honest and downright brilliant songs of their career. It also bristles with guest musicians including Duff McKagen, Mick Jones, Billy Duffy, Phil Collen and Marco Pirroni amongst others.

The 10-track album is available on standard CD, vinyl and as a digital download. To pre-order go to the band’s Pledge page. In the meantime, tickets are also available for a couple of upcoming live dates:

  • Oct 27 – Slade Rooms  Wolverhampton
  • Oct 28 – The Garage  London

Skywalker are streaming their new EP Sugar House to celebrate its release today. The five-track record features the band’s singles “Caffeine” and “Blood”.

Listen to the EP in full below, and purchase it through Skywalker’s Big Cartel.

Throughout Sugar House the Liverpool-based four-piece crush speed and aggression with melodic hooks and bouncy choruses. They firmly put themselves in the skate punk scene, taking their emotional post-hardcore inspiration from the likes of Crooks and Counterparts, whilst retaining the strength of their massive pop-punkesque choruses that wouldn’t look out of place in a Neck Deep track.

Unstoppable drive and determination has quickly built Skywalker a strong fanbase across Europe, and earned them shows alongside the likes of NOFX, Madball, Anti-Flag, Limp Bizkit and more.
