Patent Pending kick off their 2017 Spring Break tour tonight in Bristol (we’ll be out in force at the Glasgow show tomorrow). Support for the tour is divided between a couple of bands.
Opening on all dates (except the festival show at the end) will be Sheffield quartet Sweet Little Machine. Having had a quick listen to “Hurricanes“, I think they’re a perfect support act for Patent Pending. If you end up becoming a new fan, they’ll be back out on the road in Autumn as part of the Fireball – Fuelling The Fire tour package.
From the 17th to the 22nd, Eternal Boy will be main support. They’ll be swapped out for last year’s touring partners Boy Jumps Ship who’ll run up to the 28th.
Eternal Boy are the poster children for the bands we love and support here at Moshville Times. They book, promote, sell, fund, and manage their own destiny, and take pride in that process. Good on ’em and we’re looking forward to seeing them warm the crowd up for the headliners. Check out “Awkward Phase“.
Boy Jumps Ship were great last year and we know the latter half of the tour will lap them up. Give they’re from Tyneside, it makes sense that they kick off their run in Newcastle. If you want some more details, check out our review of their last album.
Also… Patent Pending have just announced the release of their latest album – and it’s all Other People’s Greatest Hits! Yup, hitting your ear-holes from May 26th is PP’s first covers album. The track listing is as follows and you can check out “Spice Up Your Life” online already. Apparently it was by some group called the Spice Girls (Google is my friend).
